Frequently Asked Questions

YOOZT is a Progressive web Application that can be viewed on any platform allowing users to find at the tip of their fingers and at any moment a used tire in their area, whether close or far from home. No more calling each store to find out if they have a particular tire without seeing it and knowing relevant information.
We are dedicated to help the environment by facilitating the reuse of used tires, saving you time and money. 200,000,000,000 (200 billions) gallons of oil are used each year to produce 300,000,000 (300 millions) tires. Many tires are left in salvage yards or just shredded before their full usable cycle. We hope to reduce by 10-20% the amount of oil used and save this precious commodity.
YOOZT is NOT a tire store. YOOZT helps locate nearby used tires shops, search their inventory, and have used tires installed.
Imagine a car being totaled after an accident. The tires, still in good condition, and sometimes almost new, will be sold as used instead of sitting in a salvage yard.
Typically, used tires cost between $20 and $50 and generally includes installation and balancing. Compare with your neighborhood tire store that charges for installation, valves, balancing, etc which raises considerably the final price.
It is located on the side/wall of the tire.
It all depends on the tread left, the road conditions and your driving habits.
Each tire is inspected by the shop selling it. YOOZT declines all responsibility and any liability since Yoozt has no control over the quality or history of the tire(s). Please inspect each tire before having it installed.
The tire(s) will be reserved for 24hrs from the time of the appointment. After this it will be released.
You will pay the shop directly.
Tires are not sold by Yoozt. Please ask the shop directly about any warranty.
The tread is the thickness of the tire. The more tread the better, especially in weather conditions. New tires have a tread between 10/32nd and 12/32nd. Lease return cars need a tread of 3/32nd in order not to be charged for new tires. In most states, tires need to be replaced at 2/32nd.
